As part of the North York Moors National Park's Dark Skies Festival, The Fox & Hounds is hosting a Dark Skies & Warm Fires weekend on the 9th and 10th February 2024. The weekend will consist of:

2 nights Dinner, Bed and Breakfast (excluding drinks). Access to specialist equipment, such as infrared torches, specialist binoculars, star maps and telescopes.

Friday 9th February

3-course meal followed by an expert astronomical speaker, guided stargazing outside, and finished off with a debrief and warm fireside drinks back in the pub.

Saturday 10th February

3-course meal followed by a guided outdoor experience with Alison Goodwin from Adventures For The Soul. Alison and her colleagues will take you on a 3 mile mindful night walk to the top of the moor where you’ll connect with the cosmos through some awe-inspiring stargazing, before returning to The Fox & Hounds for hot drinks by the fire to round off the weekend.
